Would that things could

It would be wonderful if relationships could work this way. In my own experience, limited as it is, too often on-line to real life relationships end in bitterness and anger. Too many lies, too much deceit.

Looks like...

investing in a personal computer really paid off in the end, after all. Not sure if this is actually a true account, but it's still positive proof for those who might be skeptical about online relationships.

it may not always work out as expected

yes one can meet a wonderful person on the net and fall in love, but in the real world it doesn't always end like this story. I fell in love with a much younger beautiful woman, we had a torried internet love affair for over a year but when the demands became stronger reality set in, and we both knew that we would never be together and the day came when we parted and I don't wish on anybody the pain it caused. beware lovers of the internet, it doesn't always work out and I'm happy for those that found happiness. thanks for sharing this story. well done.

I've met and known many people

who have gotten together through chatrooms and ended up married very happily, one couple, he lived in Australia and she lived in the US. They are now married after having to wait a year for him to be able to come over here and are expecting their first child. So yes, online romances can bloom and grow as long as the heart is willing and the people are honest and in love. Sensational story, I hope it's more than that for you.

great story

I loved it, very romantic and well written, yes i do believe people can fall in love, i know i did, and it was awesome till reality set in, but i knew from the beginning it would not work, different worlds and all, we never met in person cause knew we wouldnt be able to let go then, in the beginning i decided to not think and enjoy it, never did i realize i would fall so hard and hurt so bad, but were still friends and love each other, and talk alot try ing to move on, but i wouldnt trade it for the world, it was beautiful and so was your story.

Love conquers all!

I'm in a relationship right now with a man i met in a chat room, and i'm totally in love with him. We're discussing plans to meet in the near future, and i'm hoping that when we do meet we'll both realize we can't live without each other, and love prevails!

That was a great story, and i do believe online romances can last, if both people have faith in their love for each other!

On line love

What a shame that this is not the 'norm' - I have been corresponding with an online "lover" for 2 years now - and unfortunately something always happens when we have arranged to meet - I am still holding out that it will happen - I am not interested in a long term relationship as he is 30 years younger that me - but would just love a weekend together - I dont give up hope too easily

I can soooo relate!!

I fell in love with a wonderful man online that was stationed in Iraq years ago, but sadly, we never met. He was killed before we had a chance to meet. I still think about him everyday even though I love my husband very much. This story made me think of what could've been, and I loved it very much. Thanks for bringing back beautiful memories!!!
