Nice Job

Nicely constructed. It is all the small things that bother me, we take them for granted, accept their quirkyness and fail to notice how big is the intrusion into our lives.

Provocative

Thanks. Most interesting.

The fear of expression always has been with us, however, the use of "security" for the erosion of liberty is outrageous. Franklin said that those who would sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither. The founders said Congress shall make NO law...And always usurpers wrap their hypocrisy in the American flag.

This issue is dear to us all, yet few of us recognize it.

Well done.

Well done girl, getting into the realms of philosophy, which I always enjoy. Makes people take notice, and examine themselves, rather than being led like Sheep.

Well done!

I'm sure you'll get Mr. Semper Fi telling you how horrible you are, like most of us have already, but don't take it to heart. You're right on it, girl.

The lady has articulated her defense of the First Amendment quite well.

Mostly, Mostly

The smoking thing kinda reminds a political science or History type of what the AEF in WWI came back to with no drinking.

I am very unhappy with the relabling of a large number of acts from crime to Terrorist action. How many of the older crimes are now relabeled as terrorism and thus a harsher penality? A student threaten another, crime probably, but a terrorist act against the people, Hardly.

I will be slammed for saying this, but a lot of the hate crime penalities are BS. You beat someone to death and instead fo 20 years you get 30 years. Hate crime? hell if you loved them you would not beat them to death, why a different peneality? is the dead person any "deader" becausethe attacker dsliked race, color, creed or national origin?

I have a problem with unlimited non-citizen arrest and confinement, BUT being denied re-entry into the US? Recheck your constitution, it does not say anywhere that citizens of other countries have an unlimited right to live here.

And it's a big BOTHER. Good job articulating the threat. ~Imp

big brother

more resembles the big bully who takes your lunch money now and then, I relate to alot of what you said, some use the verbal tool as a weapon others forge to create a better literary foundation to establish a more tranquil and fruitfull tomorrow with less harm to our economy, unfortunately the damage is being done faster than the answers are found <grin> Thanks for the read~ and I like your PEN <GRININ'>

Free Speech has its consequences

So you're upset that you can't say how much you like sex in public? You have the freedom to say you love sex from multiple partners and the listener has the right to think your a slut. What's the problem?

Don't people have the right to complain about strip joints and try and convince everyone that its wrong. If they were successful, these places would close on their own. That's free speech as well. I just hope they don't cause I love my porn. But I like my privacy also so I censor myself. What's wrong with that?

Thanks so much.

I agree with what you said. I have thought meny times, "who draws the line". In some cases they have gone too far. Your example of turner inc. Is perfect. Thanks again. V

I read your biography. Nothing there but 'imagination' under location. Guess you really are concerned. I hope writing this was helpful to relieve stress as it will never be read by anyone that really would benefit from it.
