lovely piece

This is beautiful sj ~

Such patience in your lens,

such focus in your eye

as you saw beauty

in the boldness of design.

I love that bit ~

really well written piece,

Thanks.

This is good, sophia. I like the question at the end.

nice writing, SJ

I really like the first two stanzas, and the playfulness combined with a tone of regret. Sort of poignant.

Poignant indeed

Nice style employed,

but riding throughout

is that small thought --

"...you saw the beauty in objects,

but not in me."

And you didn't even need the illustration to support your words. Well done.

Good effort SJ

interesting choice for a framework and the emotional concept well worked with the overlying metaphor...

Better to have loved.....

Well done SJ

You really captured so many moving thoughts here, in a moment of life changing realization.

Truly a portrait in words.

Very Powerful

I loved the writing all the way through, but the question at the end knocked me on my but and knocked all the wind out of me...

hidden smile.

Illustrated drawing of a woman in the shadows tends to reveal the meaning of this ethereal rendering. Very sweet and passionate.

Bigger and better and Deeper

Than any lens, or camera. This stuns, in the way a few humane pics do
