I am glad you threw the magnets away. I like this - very simple, everything works together.

I like these simple lines leading to an enimatic ending.

"I keep searching for it.

And there just isn’t.

They are

exquisite haikus."

I don't know how

to say it, but the following lines make this poem worth reading through.

To the poet,

Please consider condensing this piece down to simply this--

"Will I ever understand

that stark zen-ness

that is their masculine?

They are

exquisite haikus."

I don't wish to offend you, but the line "They are exquisite haikus." is pure genius. The rest of the poem is so heavy over these words that they risk getting squashed and missed when your audience stops reading too soon.

simple mystery

the single straight line and line

of man's man hood

the truth of it is

when erect, while seeming hard

it is only inflated

not really hiaku

but then again and agian

isn't that the point?
