This first chapter begins a story about conflicting love and conflicting emotions. It is well-written, but too short, in all aspects. A more thorough explanation at the beginning of why the couple is breaking up would help the story. As for the love scene, while wonderfully written, it too is rather too short. Overall, however, this is an excellent first chapter to the story.
