What a sweet, sad story! It is an epiphany of sorts, for me. I will look at people differently now, not knowing the weight of the burdens they carry but looking for ways and opportunities to lighten those burdens, if and when they present ~ Thank you, for a wonderfully fresh, if tender and tinged with sadness, story... and perspective. KEEP WRITING!!!

But there was some interesting chauvinism this time to blemish it - while extolling the rationale for a man and demeaning the ability of women to get it he then talks about the women he has helped in the exact same way for the same reasons - the joys of a good double standard LOL

You have to be in that situation to understand the emotions and thinking of this man. When your normal sexual life has been taken away it's finding some means of relief that your conscience will allow. It's traumatic.
