Great that you gave Brandon's torture background. It brings insight to the anger he still carries and tries to control daily. He recognizes the lust he has for her but right now he has too much respect for her father to dishonor him. Hopefully, you already wrote the second chapter and it was submitted. Just great!

Oh, damn! I hate it that you didn't warn us that this was a first chapter of more to follow. It's great writing. (Okay some homonym errors, and near-homonyms {"shutter" and "shudder" are not the same word!}, but overall, a delightful story. Personally, I could take or leave the interracial aspect, but in this case, it makes a nice touch. Regardless, it's looking like a beautiful love story; I'm looking forward to the continuation.
