Indeed, I seem to have missed the point that "the one" was supposed to be a rainmaker. Used to think they just danced, gave some offering and called the rain-gods. My mistake, sorry. But if it was satire, I still find it too clinical to really appeal as a "good" story. G.Belgium

I guess I'm in the minority, but I liked it. The description of the time and place is captivating. So, he's a form of rain maker? That's a unique story, very different for this site. Good job.

Anyone who does not understand this story does not understand how desperate a farmer can be for rain. This is an interesting and well executed story.

Interesting twist for the why the wife spreads her legs for another man. A little more detail would of helped the story.
