I really enjoyed this journey, but It's not over. I think we would love to know how their relationship develops. What happens to Malcolm's life now that everyone knows he is in a relationship with another man? This story still has much more life to it. Please continue.

its great to see you back writing. the only reason i didn't give this story and 100 is because it seems like its not finished. maybe 1 more chapter might do it...i'm glad to see you back though...don't get me wrong, i loved this chapter, keep up the good work.

Others have already covered the feeling of there is more we wish to see with this story. To me this seems more of a set up for the real story. I hope that is the case. I also want to say this is not just the fact there there is no big repeating love seens for a love story. It seems we only got a taste of the relationship story. If not already please concider a continue of this. I love it and your writing. looking forward to more being made available.

Seemed Rushed

I really like your writing and your stories, and I enjoyed this tale very much until the end. I was left with a feeling of disappointment because this chapter hardly dealt with Malcolm and James as a couple. I was hoping to see those two spending time with each other and Malcolm helping James with dealing with the trauma. It seems like you stopped caring about the characters and lost interest in the story and wanted to just write something so it would be done. Comparing it all your other stories I found this one lacking.

You can't leave your story with that ending, it was so sodden. I feel like everyone else, that the ending was missing something, they way it ended it does not feel like your endings, I hope you give us another ending or at least feel in the gaps.

Indecision...

I can't decide if I love or hate this ending. On the one hand its perfectly inevitable but on the other it feels somewhat empty. It is the first time I've ever given one of your stories less than 100% and that is the reason why. It doesn't seem like yourself.

I love this and all ur other stories .I have read them all at least 10 times. Would have loved to see more about James and Malcolm reunion and how they progress from here but loved it nevertheless.

this story is clearly more than the author can handle. i like the rest of the author's stories. not this one, though.

While I agree with others that the story ended too soon, I have to say that this is one of the most moving stories I've read. I think that more could've been done with the ending, or even another chapter added that addresses the difficulty that James will have trying to cope with his first time since his ordeal. I look forward to reading more of your stories.

it seems that there are more gaps than just the ending. i feel that the connection with the group and the kidnappers weren't fully developed and the fact that their point??? what the hell was their point?? and did it reach the public and what was their reaction to the public's admiration of James? this story has the makings of a full-fledged novel - just like the bourne identity. i feel that this is just the bare bones of what could be a really good novel-not necessarily with the love story as the forefront since i'm not sure if the kiss was the reason for the kidnapping or the president's liberal views and they just used his son as the convenient tool. yes you mentioned or hinted at this but if the characters themselves...blah blah blah...
i really am not looking for a happy neatly tied up ending, but a clarification on your connections in the story and a little more research. i haven't written a novel so i might be talking out of my butt, but i know you're a good writer and i hope what i'm saying means something.

I really enjoyed the story but I have to say I am sad by how it ended. I agree that the connection between the kidnappers and James wasn't explained well enough. And I am sorry to see that the connection between the two guys wasn't explored more. I think the ending was kind of abrupt as well.

However, as always, it was a very enjoyable read. I love your work and this was no exception.

This is the most heart wrenching story ever! So sad but beautiful ending...wouldn't have minded more action between James and Malcolm at the end though.

I loved the whole series from beginning to end. I think the part I loved most was Malcolm being worried and heart broken over James when he was captured. It was powerful. Truly great and very enjoyable!

It's so compelling and you just get stuck reading it, I agree with the others who have said that this could very easily become a novel length story with a little more filler and explanation, but I cannot express how much I positively ADORE this series! Thanks for sharing, I hope you post more stories soon as I love all of your other works as well! =)

Something to look forward

Man this story is EPIC. Did you know that I actually cried in this story? Wow, the way my heart moved with every words I read........ WoW just WoW! I really love the ending but something is missing. Did you ever feel, eating your favorite food but you can't savor it or should I say enjoy it because you hadn't had enough? That's what I felt! Please. If you are reading this Mr. DWSimon, I'm begging you to continue this EPIC Story of yours. I want to see Alec suffer. I want to witness the romance of Malcolm and James. I want.... I want this story to continue! I am not forcing you but please, for the sake of your awesome fans....

Why after so many chapters and so much other detail would you not seal this incredible story with a wonderful and touching love making session between these two. We deserved that. I have now read all of your stories. This being the last. I am only sorry that you have not continued to write. Your content is excellent and so overwhelming to read. I won't begin to tell you how many hours I have played hooky to read all your stories. Can you advise if you have other such stories available to read. Possibly under annother pen name or source?

I re-read this today and I have to say I feel the same way reader 08 does. I really wanted to see them move forward in their relationship. I would have liked to see the outcome of the political changes that were sparked. Which of the bad guys were caught? Did the public even know how it (kidnapping) was about more than the kiss? I think you could have taken it a bit further. This piece was so emotional. It was able to get me crying more than once....well pretty much for the whole last quarter. You included alot of details throughout that made it feel more real. I know this is an older piece, and the chance is slim, but i'd love to see you add an epilogue or last chapter answering some of the questions left. keep writing.

Unfinished

Thats it? This story seems so incomplete. What happened to Alec? Did James & Malcolm make love? Did they get married? You are a great writer and I would have never thought you would leave your readers hanging. This need an epilogue or a saga. I'm very disappointed.

This cannot be the end!

I am very disappointed! It's not fair to show us Alec rutting on James, and not show us Malcolm loving on James! I don't care about any of the other stuff...who the others are, whether or not they were caught, what happens to Alec, what happens to James's career...none of that matters to me in the end, even though it was all engaging at the time. I really was just reading it so I could see them back together, fulfilled at last. I am very let down!
