Especially if you realize that Willa Cather wrote the first American sex on train stories...
in the 19teens.
Inventive and new? Absolutely.
The prose here is sharp and clean, without missing an emotional beat. The story is creative bdsm without being crude and abusive. I'd say that's fuking refreshing! And hot.
