You clearly have no knowledge, or at least very little of the original story. First, Esmeralda is hung. Qausimodo lies with her corpse and it's assumed by the narrator that he died like that. Phoebus marries someone else. And Frollo falls off the roof of Notre Dame.

Certainly no tale for fairies. It makes me want to see THIS movie version. A fun read and great graphics. An animated version might be better than live action if done in the same style as this story,bigger than life. I will re-read this later

I actually liked the way you rewrote the ending because I always felt like Quasimodo got screwed. But for me the illustrations took away from the story instead of enhancing it.
