Really a beautiful story. And it's marked NON EROTIC. And the author warned you.
I write what comes into my crazy mind. I was thinking about how lonely one might become after the death of a loved one. We have many relatives and friends that fit in that category.
It's nice to remember some of the nice things that have happen as well. Valentines Day is about love and my characters truly lived the loving life.
Thank you for reading and commenting on my story. It really is much appreciated.
With Respect

Damn, you have been something else lately, how do you come up with all these diverse storylines? TY for writing. <P>

And thank you for it. Love is not only for the young. 5 Jim
Reading this story has caused this old cynic to hope that there really people like the characters in the story.

Thank you for the wonderful story.

I must leave a note for the office cleaners to make sure my office is well dusted. Something keeps getting in my eyes.
As a veteran of many many Valentines Days, #54 Coming up with the same lady, this was enough to bring a few tears to these old eyes. Thanks for a great story. BTW for those who have been around for quite a while there was lots of eroticism
who can read this story and not give it a 5 is heartless. A very moving story.
DGHear, you are a wonderful writer and I always enjoy your stories.
Thank you for sharing with us.
DG Hear, Your story "Zeoa: my wife" brought me to this site so many years ago. Your writing and your stories will not allow me to leave. I just hope I could see more of your stories. I will never tire of it.
DG, I so very much appreciate your writing. I look for your name every day in the new stories section. It doesn't matter the title, if you wrote it, I'm reading it.
Take Care....
I can only say thank you, DG. You are the best. Happy Valentine's Day!
Just a wonderful story. It was very heartwarming. Thanks very much. I will look for more of your work.
It brought tears to both our eyes and some great kisses and hugs. Thanks for your stories, we have enjoyed them all.
I love the story. I believe I can feel the love shared by Henry and Mary, but sadly I haven't experienced it in my life. Although I'm 57 and have always been single I still hope to enjoy just the kind of loving relationship you wonderfully wrote about in your story. Thank you for the gift. Happy Valentine's Day to you.
Such a touching and romantic story. Thank you for sharing and good luck in the contest.
And, it hit way too close to home!
Nice writing, DG Hear. Congratulations on your win!

you've got class DGH :)
but sadly, I haven't experienced in my life what Mary and Henry did have in their. Although I'm 65 I still hope to enjoy just the kind of loving relationship in my life you so wonderfully wrote about in your story. Thank you for the gift. Happy Valentine's Day to you DG Hear - Sir.
I was so touched by this story, we lost our mom first then Dad said that he was ready. I shared this story with my wife as we were sitting in our home office. Boy was the last part hard to read, and took so long. Thanks for sharing this with us it touched our hearts.
We are mid fifties and have been together since we were 18, I also want to go first I am sure that life with out my Love would be unbarable.
God Bless you all!
DG, I think you've captured the story of many of the old-timers I see in the nursing homes when I visit. Their lives were once vibrant. They lived a life of fulfilment and love for one another--now all they have are memories.
Thank you for reminding us that love is still one of our most important human emotions. Great story.
thank you for your story. im sorry but a score of 5 just wont do. a 10 is more like it. again thank you.
About good people leading good lives - Thank you sir -
What are you doing writing a Real Love Story on this site. This is a story about what Love really and truly is all about. You could actually feel this guy's pain. This was such a beautiful...and sad...story. Thank you for this story.
People who respect each other.
thanks
Didn't think about it till I'd finished the story but Valentines is two days away. A great story - thank you.
Such a great story, like many others you've written. My grandparents had a memorable anniversary also, one that haunted my grandma - April 1st!

Is this my allergies...again? Extraordinary masterpiece; a love story of decent and loving people who get what they deserve: a very good life with respect and admiration for one another. And this is passed down to the next and the following generations. There should be many more families like this!
