Title's incorrect

I'm afraid I don't really have much to say about this rambling narrative except you have misidentified your title reference. The characters' name isn't Brier Rabbit, it's Br'er Rabbit. that's short for Brother Rabbit, just as Br'er Fox and Br'er Bear are short for Brother Fox and Brother Bear. Yes, it's true Br'er Rabbit begs Br'er Bear (who isn't that bright) not to throw him into the briar patch (note the spelling here also. The correct spelling is briar, not brier.), but he begs him not to do so because rabbits can maneuver through briars without harming themselves on the thorns, because rabbits are small.

I'm not saying you shouldn't reference folktales for your stories, but please do a bit of research to make sure you're making an accurate reference.
