what an interesting story.I can't wait to see what you have in store for Zoe and Azriel. what is Zoe's background that's causing her to have no emotion? Like I said great beginning and I can't wait until the next chapter.

Although I don't agree with the 'no emotions' bit - I get a feeling she can't connect with people on a deeper level so feeling for others are more superficial... Like the bit with her leaving her mother.

Something could have happend to her as a young child and she tried to block out all the bad memories. That could be why she never had the attraction to boys. Maybe the stepfather raped her when she was young. He obviously hated her for some reason.

So its not that inconseable that Zoe has no emotions let alone know how to process them

If he can be in her dreams why couldn't he see what has closed off her emotions.

I agree with other posts that this story is off to a great start! I am a little disappointed that there it's no continuing story. I actually cried from the tender moments and am dying for more! It's like Beauty and the Beast, but hotter!

It is really not nice to come on strong, make promises, pet and play, moan into one's ear, excuse yourself for a moment, and then skip out the back door and never return!

Too bad she didn't kill him when he came into the shower. The idea of promising the X numbered girl born in a town in exchange for "protection" is so abhorrent I'd like to see the town nuked.
