Thanks for the feedback. This is my first attempt at story telling and I'm not so sure how long or short each chapter should run. I think this chapter was about 1000 words. Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks for the comments. I've added Chapter 3 to the approval queue. It's about three times as long, at about 2700 words (9 page word document) and I think I ended it at a logical point to set it up for the next chapter. Additional comments are welcome.
