What might have been a good story to read was ruined for me because I can't read French and my computer won't convert the French language into English. Here are a couple of suggestions - either put in sub titles in English for what is written in French or either write out the story in one language or the other but since this is mostly an English domnant site then do it in english. just a suggestion, mate

Just because you want to show off your ability to speak/write french, you made the story unreadable to those who don't. Being multi-lingual is great, more power to you, but when writing you want your readers to be able to understand your story. Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should.

...that you write in English or you write in French but not this way. Other than the relatively small audience who are both Anglophone and Francophone, you're pretty much just going to convince people that your desire to show off is more important than your desire to entertain since they will only understand half the story.

I'm not fluent in French but I could understand it and I thought the style really worked.

Well as far as I'm concerned, le dialogue en francais me plaisait bien, as did the hot writing.
