This story was comprised of the essentials ingredients for a proper Valentine story - interesting characters, original plot twists, some spicy sex - all in all, very satisfying.

Simply fantastic. Choosing the Mind Control category can be a dicey choice, as some of the stories are too twisted for my taste. This one was more subtle, the way I like it. You show very good storytelling skills. I especially like the way you wove the flashback scenes into the rest of the story. Great dialog, too, and the erotic thrill of your letting us into the character's mind was exceptionally titillating. And the throwaway line at the end was hilarious.

The interplay between the couple was fun an hit an authentic note, in spite of the unlikely premise of hypnosis for curing relationship problems. If it were that easy, everyone would do it. One thing about the story I find true-to-life, and scary, is Eric's "cop attitude". Almost everyone is a scumbag until proven innocent. That might be a natural attitude for a jaded cop to develop, but it's kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy, since l'm certainly not going to trust or help anyone who turns that philosophy on me. Not a healthy situation for someone who carries a badge and a gun.

BUT ... This piece borders on Artistic. At first glance the story line appears to be too simple; like many others - deception that doesn't show it's intent in the beginning! Then it turns 180 degrees with an sound explanation for Doc's actions ... Until !!! OK, you just have to read to the end for the best part of the story. A very riveting production. A very nice combination of turning the category of control into a mutually reciprocal agreement between both parties with full recognition of the power they have over the other and choosing to keep it. Wasn't mindless sex bot stuff, wasn't simplistic but not too intellectually masturbatory either(author takes too much pride in his/her own ability and spins it out unnecessarily)-a very pleasant well paced read. I prefer stronger sexual scenes myself but this was a delight to read w/o getting too heavy. Thank you for this story.

I, I want to say how much I enjoyed reading this story. I find most Mind Control stories to be tediously repetitious. However, you are such an excellent writer, I am glad I chanced it.

Your characters have character and are well characterized. Believable interactions and adult dialogue. And best of all, a terrifically funny ending.

I've said the same thing all 3 times I've read this excellent story.

The first MC story I’ve read that manages to be wholesome without essentially compromising what makes the genre sexy. Mind control is, by its very nature, ethically dubious, especially in a sexual context. After all, if both parties are aware and consenting to the Mind Control beforehand, then what separates it from standard roleplay?

You solve this conundrum quite ingeniously.

The first level is obviously making the Mind Controller a third party, but that is, quite demonstrably, not enough. The next level is the demonstration that they both want this to work, the connection of the conditioning to flashbacks detailing their (quite well written) love story, and of course the fact that the conditioning is tied to Eric holding up his side of the “agreement” of their marriage. The final level is Esmer’s quite sound explanation of the logic behind his hypnosis of Megan specifically and the conditions thereof, coupled with Megan’s friend’s explanation of how he fixed her marriage with John, showing pretty definitively that this is not his only way of dealing with these problems. He’s not a one trick pony in regards to sex, and his hypnosis of Megan was not a sexual or misogynistic power trip, but rather the actual best solution to the problem.

If I could give you ten stars, I would.
