Ah, you know how to build tension through description and shift power more slowly than most, curtainsup. :) Good. That was what I liked best about it. On showing some mercy or committing suicide...that's a decent suggestion, but I see it going two ways. The mercy would be for the reader, giving them a chance to breathe. But it doesn't, in itself, mean that if the author doesn't show any mercy, that the character *must* commit suicide by the end. The author has already set it up at the end of this chapter that--at the very least in self-preservation--James's body is able to feel pleasure with the submission (the body doesn't care if you're happy or respect yourself, it only cares about continuing to live). It'll change how James sees himself, but his body will survive; depending on the skill of the author and how many chapters he does, I can see James adapting so that it isn't pure Hell. The mind can be very creative that way in their coping mechanisms.

The dialogue was effective, too; over-explaining was a borderline notation here (sometimes a well-placed, brief sentence can have the same effect as a paragraph, letting the reader/victim fill in the holes (haha)), but the use of the taunts were heightening the tension nonetheless.

Now that the over-analysis is out of the way...definitely an arousing fantasy; I prefer the author following his vision and the character development naturally, not so much taking suggestions, so I won't make any myself. But I'll be curious to see where this goes.
