I found it odd that the boy/man was going into puberty at age 18 which is the average age of a senior in high school. Mark knew his mother was headed toward an orgasm with no experience. These things are minor, but influenced how I read the story. For a first time presenting a written story; you did well. By all means write more and examine your believable index.

Rocky: Yes, I admit the puberty thing was a stretch. Extremely late puberty was my way of throwing inexperience in with a legal age; I knew this was a stretch, I'll do better. As for knowing an orgasm when it happened; I figured what he saw was obvious, it was to me when I saw my first one. I will have to think about that.

These are the kinds of mother/son stories that I really enjoy; where it's not too sexy (characters are too open about sex) and it's not overly romantic in any way. This story is just right.

I love the playfulness and teasing relationship that the mother & son have in this story. Where the mom is upset, but she understands what he's going through. Later, she lets him see her, but not too much, then she pulls back when he crosses the line too fast.

My favorite part of this story are her dialogue scenes where she explains that she caught him and that she wasn't mad, but that she was willing to make him a deal and so forth because it's natural.

My only piece of constructive criticism that I wish this story had (and that you do in future stories) is that I wanted to know what the mother looked like naked in the beginning of the story. The son has a picture of his mother naked, and he later sees her in the shower, but you don't describe her breasts (how big they are, shape, nipples, ect..) and other attributes of her naked body.

I wouldn't say that she was pissed. Mom was conflicted and reluctant to cross the line with her son. In the end, she is happy to see her son happy and I would like to think that they went on to have passionate sex later.

For a short story this is fairly well written. Realizing an author can only do so much with a short story, it would have been nice to develop the character of the son in more detail. For his mother to teach him about female sexual anatomy is preferable providing she knows what she is talking about. Studies indicate that women are embarrassed about such discussions between themselves, with their mother, and even their physician. Studies also indicate that most women do not understand how and why their sexual organs function and/or are able to identify when they have a problem requiring medical attention as opposed to self-medication.

I believe that she said that we learn about "the female orgasm". The implication being "try and give me one and I'll tell you when you got it right."

If you want better character, give "Nude Therapy" a try. It is more thought out and has better character arcs.

The 180 the mother does isn’t really believable when you look at how she has reacted to everything. She thinks he’s sick cuz she says she wants to help him get this out of his system. She looks at him with disgust at one point. She claims to have read all the books on this. She also is happy he apologized. For what? Feeling the way he does about her? He did absolutely nothing to be sorry about. He feels bad that she feels uncomfortable around him now. I don’t buy the sudden reversal by her at all. The best thing for him to do is to get the hell out her house. Better for both of them. I would tell her I’m not interested in being here anymore. He can keep things civil and be respectful of her but living there is all bad. I wouldn’t even allow her to engage me in another conversation about this. Unless of course she ever wants to see him again. Not seeing her day to day is the best way to deal with it. Otherwise it would be a slow painful torture for him. This way they can hopefully maintain a respectful relationship and move on, because in reality, she will never ever be able to understand how he feels. He will probably be hurt over her inability to truly understand him. I mean after all, she thinks she knows better cuz hell, she’s read all the books!
