I like the extremely short lines

and the sardonic tone. I'm not sure I quite follow the last bit, but as always, you tell quite a detailed little story with very few words.

I totally get it

Love that w/ poems....only the author knows the nitty gritty....but this one, i feel completely and dig. the irony is palpable and the choppiness (sp?) of it flows beautifully! I get the "good night Irene" part and smile.....well done!
