That was a fine story!

Having to write in in a set number of words has done wonders for it - some of the best stories I have ever read, of any kind, have had this kind of 'economy' as a major part of their appeal. I know it can't have been easy - but you made it look as if it were!

A really top-class story - thank you for sharing it with us and I hope it satisfied the conditions of your task; it would be a hard task-master who frowned on this excellent piece of work!
