Agree, this could be woven into a nice story over several chapters. Some development of their respective backgrounds and why they are attracted to each other beyond the one night sex. What was it about Edward that made her want to go home with him and how do they deal with the difference in ages as they continue on in the developing relationship. There could be some interesting dialog with co-workers and friction between Amanda and her friends when and if they interact as a couple. You have written a great short story, which is satisfying like a mid day snack, but it begs to be presented as a five course dinner with a fine brandy to top the evening off.

especially for a first effort! It reads realisticly, like "Been there and done that." Hope you continue with a romance that kills the "age difference elephant."
