Strange and different

Frank wanted to humiliate her and then he could have had earlier plans to leave her anyway. Her friend did what most gentlemen do, he help her get her stuff. Got her an apartment and help her make some money with he moneymaker from the those sailors on shore leave. A happy ending.

Fine story

The story was brief but it carried the message. Frank got his just deserts. Yes she was right cleaning out the bank accounts. I wonder how the divorce went. Thanks for the smile on my face after reading this tale

She took his bait and acted on it and lost.

To suck a stranger off in a bar requires a person have no brains and a suicide risk due to diseases than can be encountered. The husband was an asshole but at least he acted as a man and not a sissy. The wife had already taken money for sex and was now a whore/prostitute and working the ships crew was not a major step. If they get divorced cleaning out the accounts will mean she would get even less out of the settlement. Of course if she is going to be a ships whore and not really work or have a home, or keep her health, a divorce is not necessary and the husband can file for abandonment in a divorce if he wants one. No one ever said anyone in the story had any brains at all.
