Lovely, karaline. What more could an editor want to hear? :)

I am stunned. What an incredible gift.

It's been so fun to be part of the process and our discussions. More importantly I’ve enjoyed getting to know you.

My ability to reach out to my friends and family has been severely limited. This disease takes much more from people than muscle control. You have given me the opportunity to reach out in a way I can.

Learning to ask for help was a challenge for me. But by doing so I am better able to function. I’m so grateful that you reached out. I should be thanking you for being graciously open to suggestions.

I enjoy putting a shine to the silver.

Aah, what a touching poem...

After all, making a difference in someone's life IS what life's all about. What a wonderful tribute.

A warm tribute to an often underrated person.

It made me think of the lovely dedication to Pound at the beginning of Eliot's Waste Land - 'Il miglior fabbro'. How very selfless to recognize the potentially transformative role of a good editor.

Excellent gift!

karaline,

What an absolutely excellent gift you have written and presented. I feel much the same way about the editor who has come into my life and my writing. Luckily for me, a new friend on lit was willing to share. Now, they both have become greatly appreciated for their friendship, wisdom, and encouragement. I may tell my editor to read your poem and know that I would have written something very similar. Thank you for sharing. Apple

Heartfelt

A good editor with a light touch and insight is priceless. I have had such a gifted editor and friend for my more recent poetry. I can't thank them enough, but I also write poems in thanks. ;)

18/1/22 Small update, i have asked for the enslavement of Briseis to be taken down now, this should be happening in the next few days, so i suggest you don't start reading, unless you're prepared to read the thing all in one sitting! Thanks again for all your lovely comments....
