good stuff, denis and anna.

there's been a lot of lit at that joint lately. :)

denis and anna alone could open a new wing at thieves on their submissions there. :D

I was reading through their works published and see that you have a TON of pieces that woudl fit wonderfully there. I hope you submit something to them, as the editor isa terrific man so kind, insightful and supportive. Oh, and very smart!! and they have an online sub form, and only accept 75 submissions per month... send 'em something!!

Thanks Julie-- I will check it out, I have got to stop focusing on things that do not matter

2 things

1. in case you did not hear, thievesjargon is off line, it has nothing to do with the editor and is definately not a permanent issue. email me if you want more info.

2. Mannequin Envy finally has it's own "real?" URL

Brand new Summer Issue: some great new poetry by familiar and perhaps unfamiliar writers, featuring Joseph Russo and Spencer Troxell... art by Terry Rentzipas & poems inspired by his work... photos by Russell Bittner...

Flying High in California!

Ok, I wasn't going to post this, but an evil monkey made me do it.

I have been going to a place called Listen and Be Heard Poetry Cafe. They have open mic on Thursday and have welcomed me with open arms. They also produce a local arts and entertainment paper that publishes one poem each week. They have been kind enough to print 3 of my poems over the last 3 months.

Yesterday they printed my first article. This link will work only until next Wednesday when the new edition comes out:

http://www.listenandbeheard.net/page3.htm

And the best part of this is~they hired me as editor. Yesterday I went to my new job and loved it. In the afternoon she asked me to write her weekly E-newsletter. Bottom line? I'm getting paid to write!

life is sweet~

This is very good news! Congrats. I'm really happy for you Syn--getting paid to write is the best, huh?
