Great job!!

I had'nt realized there were so many songs in this thread. :)

Ok, I'm being horribly blind here, but...

Where is it? I don't see a link to it anywhere using FF or IE.

The very first post in the thread. If you list posts showing oldest post first, it should be there when you come to the thread. If you list posts with the newest post first, just click to go to the last page in the thread, then go to the bottom of the page.

Heh... I didn't either... I was surprised...

I'm glad someone got me off my butt to do this now, instead of a month down the road... :D

1..2...3....Homer Simpson!

DOH!

I guess I missed that. I have it set to start with oldest first, but I always go to newest thread and scroll back to where my unread threads begin.

Final announcement about the index. The link in my sig will take you to a stand alone view of the first post - you can't scroll through the thread from it. But it does give the entire index in one view... If anyone else wants to put the link in their sig, just let me know, and I'll give you the link... Or, you can just click the link in my sig, and copy/paste it from the window when the index comes up...

Actually, as I think about it... I'm going to make a new post of the index, without the thread intoduction... Don't copy that link yet!!! :D

Unless I missed something somewhere, it occurs to me that no one - NO ONE - has posted any Willie Nelson yet!!! Unbelievable!!! So... Let's start with "Mountain Dew!!"

Mountain Dew - Willie Nelson

Not very far from me there's an ol' holler tree
Where you lay down a dollar or two
You go 'round the bend and you come back again
With a jug of that good ol' mountain dew

They call it that ol' mountain dew Lord, Lord
And them that refuse it are few
Gonna hush up my mug if you'll fill up my jug
With that good ol' mountain dew

The preacher came by with his head high, said hi
Said his wife took down with the flu
And he thought that we ought just to give him a start
Of that good ol' mountain dew

Well, they call it that ol' mountain dew Lord, Lord
And them that refuse it are few
Gonna hush up my mug if you'll fill up my jug
With that good ol' mountain dew

My uncle Mort he's sawed off and he's short
He measures 'bout four foot two
But he thinks he's a giant when you give him a pint
Of that good ol' mountain dew

Well, they call it that ole mountain dew Lord, Lord
And them that refuse it are few
Gonna hush up my mug if you'll fill up my jug
With that good ol' mountain dew

Hush up my mug if you'll fill up my jug with that good ole mountain dew

Okay... Can't sleep for some reason - feelin' a tad manic tonight... I decided to go through some of my music, and came across *this* little blast from the past...:D ~~No worries - I'll be getting back to Willie soon...~~

Go ahead - date yourselves!!! Ya know you're getting old if you remember this when it was popular... Heh... I used to do some slightly less than legal substances, kick back with the lava lamp on, patchouly incense burning, and get into this shit... Friggin' YIKES!!!

In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida - Iron Butterfly

In-a-gadda-da-vida honey
Don'tcha know that I love you?
In-a-gadda-da-vida baby
Don'tcha know that I'll always be true?

Oh won'tcha come with me
And take my hand?
Oh won'tcha come with me
And walk this land?

Please take my hand

Let me tell ya now
In-a-gadda-da-vida honey
Don'tcha know that I love you?
In-a-gadda-da-vida baby
Don'tcha know that I'll always be true?

Was my fave song for years this one was , always played when i was heartbroken !

It's getting more frequent with age !

BOSTON :(

A Man I'll Never Be

If I said what's on my mind
You'd turn and walk away
Disappearing way back in your dreams
It's so hard to be unkind
So easy just to say
That everything is just the way it seems

You look up at me
And somewhere in your mind you see
A man I'll never be

If only I could find a way
I'd feel like I'm the man you believe I am
And it gets harder every day for me
To hide behind this dream you see
A man I'll never be

I can't get any stronger
I can't climb any higher
You'll never know just how hard I've tried
Cry a little longer
And hold a little tighter
Emotions can't be satisfied

You look up at me
And somewhere in your mind you see
A man I'll never be

If only I could find a way
I'd feel like I'm the man you believe I am
And it gets harder every day for me
To hide behind this dream you see
A man I'll never be

Why would this surprise you, Love?? Remember, I was what was commonly referred to as a "burn out..."

Editing to add...

Your reaction in IM this morning was a *big* surprise to me, too, Lover... :)

I just want to bump this song up to the top of the thread - I want to put it here, because I'm going to up a few songs for DF today, and I especially want her to see this one, as well...

For you, Darlin'...

You're In My Blood

(One and two and three and four and...)

My needle slides into your spoon
You turn my tides, I thank the moon above
Pierced like a pin you always could
Get underneath my skin
But that's not good enough

You're in my blood, you're like a drug
I can't sweep you 'neath the rug
You're in my blood

Fly like an angel, kick like a mule
Watch where the pain will take
Two fools in love

You're in my blood, you're like a drug
I can't sweep you 'neath the rug
You're in my blood

You bit me like a bug, you hit me like a thug
You fit me like a glove
You're in my blood

Pierced like a pin you always could
Get underneath my skin
But that's not good, good enough

You're in my blood, you're like a drug
I can't sweep you 'neath the rug
You're in my blood

You're in my blood, you bit me like a bug,
You fit me like a glove
You're in my blood

You're in my blood, you're like a drug
I can't sweep you 'neath the rug
You're in my blood

You're in my blood, you bit me like a bug,
You fit me like a glove
You're in my blood

Within the tapestry of your love

Of your love...

Of your love...

You're in my blood...
