Hi all,
My boyfriend and I have been talking a lot lately about giving anal sex a try. I was just wondering what the best/easiest position is for anal, especially for both of our first times. I've done some research on the Internet and have found pros and cons to nearly all positions. Your thoughts/experiences would be greatly appreciated, as well as any other tips for losing our anal virginities. Thanks a bunch... :rose:
 
Why not plan on using several positions?

Pick on that you think will give the female the most control. If it's not comfortable, move to plan "B". And then plan "C".

There is no right way -- only one that works. Or frequently, several which work.
 
The first couple of times I did anal were in the "spooning" position......I felt safe and relaxed and he could touch my breasts and clit which helped distract from the "pain" of being stretched. I've done it once by being on top, I loved it, much more control for me and he could watch my reactions. I think spooning is the best option as it decreases other physical pressures while still allowing careful penetration. Most important are relaxation, lubrication, and patience.

I agree with catalina. A spooning position, lying on your side. Go slow and use lots of lube.
 
I agree with other posters about the spooning position.
We used it for my first time and I can honestly say that it didn’t hurt at all. This position made him able to touch my breasts and pussy with his hands, while nibbling my neck which helped me relax. Also, using lube is a good idea.

If i remember right spooning was the start of it for us too.. but as time went on - I found that being on top of him eventually works best - giving me full control and eventually as things 'relax' he's able to move also.

I found being flat on my belly, with a pillow under my hips, provided the best angle for him.

Learning to do it on top, though, was SO awesome. I had all the control, I could get deeper penetration that way, and there was virtually no pain at ALL. I would definitely recommend it. :)

Just be careful to position yourself so that you don't take him in too quickly...that hurts like holy hell.

Odd, though I lost my anal virginity in the doggy position, I found very early on that the above mentioned positioin brought me the most pleasure. I have not tried being on top to do anal, and not sure now if I ever will be able to because I don't know how open my b/f would be to anal sex.

The first time my SO and I tried, it was doggie style and it hurt so bad I cried and we had to stop. Fortunately, this did not deter me from trying again. What worked best in the few of times I've introduced anal was doggie, with the girl doing all the pushing. I had a hand on their waist and one on my dick, but they did 99.44% of the work inserting.

A couple of them, after insertion and a few strokes, then slowly dropped to their stomach having me follow them down.

The one time I tried spooning, which I thought would work, she said I couldn't get the correct angle -- she wanted it pointed as far back toward her spine as she could get.

Doggie Style

I think that for the first time, doggie style is best, so long as you can trust your boyfriend to take things slow. There are a few reasons for this other than the fact that it was how I did it the first time, which was a mean feat, cause it took my husband five years to talk me into it.

1. Positioning. You are open to him entirely, and the angle of penetration is more adjustable. Who wants to be fumbling with tricks of balance and angles the first time?

2. Erotic factor. You are doing something that people still consider "dirty" and in some circles, totally unacceptable. The idea of doing something "forbidden" is a turn on in and of itself, and the doggie style position reflects that like no other. I think it does a lot for the mental state, which needs to be in high arousal mode for you to enjoy.

I personally like the spooning idea second best, though it's not one I have yet tried. I can see where it would be easier to relax the whole body and pertinent muscles. What edged it out of first was the lack of experience on my part as well as the angling situation. I can see where that would be a little tricky to do.

The is a position used by the medics to access the bowels called "Simm's Position". It's supposed to be the way the spinchture is most relaxed.

Lay on your left side.

Pull you left (bottom) leg up slightly, bending the knee, just enough so it's easy to lay there. Maybe 30 degree angle.

Pull your right (top) leg up, bending at the knee, until it is well past (closer to your chest) your left leg.

Roll slightly to the right so you are comfortable.
