Contrary to my user name "stiffy_guy"

I am not alway so stiff, if you know what I mean.

I'm somewhat embaressed to admit it but I do take a Viagra from time to time before making love. I take a 50 mg tab and it really works well, but I am not to crazy about the side affects. I get a pretty stuffy feeling nose and pretty flushed when I use the drug.

Are there any guys out there using Cialis or Levitra that would like to share their experience with those drugs?

You can P.M. or whatever, I won't tell anybody if you are using
E.D. drugs. hehe

Thanks much,

Not always such a "stiffy_guy" hehe

Viagra etc.

You said you are embarrassed to admit that you take viagra from time to time before sex.Why be ashamed of that.Hell I take it every time and the wife loves it.It saved my marraige.I just tried levitra last night as a matter of fact. For me the viagra works better.More side effects with viagra.A occasional headache and blue tinted vision and my face gets really red.But my face got really red with levitra too.It took longer for the levitra to kick in too_Oh and one other side effect too they made my dick harder than chinese arithemetic times nine.Hell I am glad I take viagra.I haven't had wood like this since I was 18 years old.Plus I can go more than one time a night now and I last longer before I cum.Don't shit yourself a lot of guys out there want to try it and some really need it but are too ashamed to admit they need it.Guys at work are always asking me eto give them one to try.It is a relief to me to know that right in the middle of doing the horizontal bop that old stanley isn't going to crap out on me and go limp.It has really boosted my self esteem and saved my marraige cause the wife simply thought I was not attracted to her anymore. My doctor will not give me cialis, say's that he doesn't like the fact that it works for 36 hours.Guess he is afraid I'd screw myself to death or afraid my wife might get mad at him for giving me something that would last that long.So I will stck with viagra and put up with the few little side effects and keep fucking like bunny rabbits.

That's why I use it.

I usually use the generic Viagra, like Veega or Silagra, same stuff less than half the cost. Maybe try cutting down on your dosage. I use the 100mg., but split the pill 4 ways - about 25mg per dose. A little face flush, but I'll take that anyday to be the man of steel.

Back off on the dossage.

You can cut the tablets in half and double your fun.

BTW, how old are you?

Just don't take the one that says on the commercial, "If erection lasts for more than 4 hours, you may need to seek medical attention." THAT would be embarrassing! I love pharmaceutical commercials.
:p

Seriously though, i wouldn't think anyone was "less of a man" if he had to take viagra.

I agree with Dollface - I don't think there is any shame in stating you use Viagra, Levitra, or Cialis. After all, some of our hunkiest athletes are plugging them, right? ;)

Seriously, I've not been with a man who has taken any of these drugs, but I am more than a little curious to find out what it would be like. I would love it if my S/O would at least try one, but so far I haven't brought the subject up. Exactly how does a woman tell a man they should try Viagra just to see how it works without bruising his ego? I absolutely love our sex life and have no complaints. But I hear so many great things about Viagra that I have to admit it makes me curious.

And yeah, that line in the ad about a 4 hour erection not being a good thing always makes me laugh. I imagine this 50 year old guy walking into the ER with hardon asking for help. I mean the visual alone of him in the waiting room is hysterical!

Apparently cases of priapism (extended erections that may damage penile tissue) have occurred with enough frequency that the pharma companies have to include that warning.

The simple answer is that if your man is interested in having the qualifications for side work as a towel bar, but questions how regularly he'd be able to show up for work, then any of the three ED drugs will make a difference.

I tried Levitra as part of a clinical trial and found it worked just fine. Cialis, however, is my drug of choice because it makes that morning-after reprise not only possible but very enjoyable.

This isn't good for the same reasons for leaving a cock ring on too long or taking viagra etc when you do not need it ... it damages tissues/muscles/tubes and the like :(

...cocaine has the same effects as well as X or E (which ever you want to call it...)

--- back to the origional topic ---
Don't feel ashamed, there is no reason to, don't make apologies for yourself either, things happen, every one's body is different ... do what you feel comfortable and talk about it. I think finding Lit was one of the best things that could happen to myself... and alot of other Litsters out there!!

what other side effects do these pills have besides the dick of steel it gives ya ... I'm very curious to know?

face flushing, major headaches, PMSy like irriratability, cramps ... its interesting what we do and put up with for things we want :)

Quite true. :)

But in this case he said he would probably never take it again unless it was really, truly warranted. I think that is a very good decision.

Cialis does last a nice long time. The hardon you wake up with the next morning is the kind you woke up with when you were 18! Or bigger! With Cialis I have had no side effects. I am on Effexor and with the med it seems to decrease sensitivity. Not totally a bad thing, but as the dose went up, the wood went down! I would lose an erection very quickly when I was on a high dose. It is all good to me!

Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!!!

Thanks to all that posted...

Someone asked my age, I just turned 57.

Sounds like Cialas might be interesting to try.

Again thanks to all.......

very good decision as long as it is needed and isn't used foolishly... isn't for kids to sneak into when they're 18 and found dad's stash.

ooh and as bigredboston brought up, look at the rest of your life, and if you are on any other medications... they all affect you and each other in different ways :) !!

Forgive me...I stand corrected. :)

The ladies do understand what I mean, but I'm sure men have a WHOLE different kind of understanding of the evil that is PMS! ;)

From some of the descriptions above, it sounds like the dose could be cut back some and you will still get the effect.

For me, the effect (especially of Cialis) is ore like I get the erection easier, and) the drug keeps it erect without me having to do anything after I've managed to get it up..

I had access to Cialis early distribution, and decided to compare it to Viagra. My personal experience, yours may/will differ.

Sometimes there are side effects with Viagra, and some times not. I've not correlated it with anything, including food/nofood.

The headache/flush passes within 5 minutes when it comes. The first time it bothered me, the next time it told me the drug was having an effect, subsequent times I ignored it, except once. I staggered/reeled for a moment, enough for my partner to notice.

Viagra leads to hard-ons like when I was younger and they came without thinking about them. I don't have to work at all to get them -- they will sneak up from almost any stimulus, be it a song, memory, pressing into someone, and then stay with minimal encouragement.

The duration is maybe 90 minutes starting between 30-45 minutes. A couple of times we started making love soon after I took Viagra, and by the time we were though some extended foreplay the erection was waning.

Then at 2 to 2.5 hours, there seems to be a modest rebound hard-on which we have used to good effect.

Cialis can give just a good hard-on, but it need to be encouraged. It's a bit hard to explain other than to say that there is no problem getting rock hard when I want to, I just have to deliberately want to and generally help it get started with a bit of stroking or such. But when it does get up, it says up as well as a Viagra erection.

(I'm reminded of the woman who in her forties remarked that she finally had to start working to get sex going. In the past, she basically just had to be present, may be unbutton a button or let a skirt slid, or give some overt sign. After that all she had to do is 'lay back and enjoy it'.

Moving into her forties, her partners also moving into their forties, she said she now had to reach inside their pants and fondle them, or do a strip-tease, or talk a lot of sexual innuendos then explicit suggestions, etc. And while in the act, she had to watch for when they weren't getting enough stimulation so she could help them out.

That the sort of stuff it can take to kick-start Cialis. But once it runs, to runs as long as lovemaking lasts.)

Cialis keeps working at least 24 hours, though by 36 I'm debating about taking another dose if I know I'm are going to fuck in the near future. That's late Friday evening to early Sunday morning. By Sunday afternoon the effect need renewing.

I've only had side effects from Cialis once. For about a minute I could feel the blood pounding in my head and then everything was back to normal.

There doesn't seem to be any cross-effect taking one after the other in either order. I've never tried them together but I'd expect the viagra side effects to be very pronounced.

I keep planning to try Levitra but haven't been motivated enough to get the script for the free sample.

Arden pointed this thread out to me. Because my insurance doesn't cover viagra prescriptions, it get's a little pricey, even online. I buy the 100 mg tabs and cut them in half.

I do want to try Veega and Silagra. I guess my problem is, now that I know Viagra helps me with erection problems it's hard to give anything unknown to me a try. As much as Arden and I enjoy lovemaking, Cialis is a definite possibility as well.

I'm glad to see so many people being open about this. I never really had a problem getting an erection, it was keeping it that was damn near impossible. Now, I can chime in too and say it makes you feel 18 again, even though I'll be 51 in September.

I do feel sorry for any guy that thinks his male pride will be damaged to admit he can't keep it up any longer. Hell, I love sex too much to succumb to that. It is, after all just a medical thing. Gotta keep those blood vessels open and pumping. ;)

Thanks

If taking other prescription meds, as I am, which have the unfortunate side effect of killing the libido and making it take a damn long time to get an erection, would one of the meds in the Subject help? Mentally, I can be horny as hell, but the plumbing doesn't want to cooperate.

Thanks.

Owlz, haven't seen you around in a while. Good to see you.

This is a tough question. The medecine behind the ED drugs is that they open up the pathways for blood to enter the penis and reduce the outbound pathways. They do not change your level of interest or stimulation so those have to be present before the drugs will do their little miracle. Perhaps a little chat with your doc is in order here. First off, you need his help to get the drugs in the first place, and second to make sure you don't run into any problems by taking an ED drug in combination with the ones you are already on.

Good luck.

Hmmm, are you speaking of antidepressants like Paxil? In case you are, ask your Doc for a scrip for Wellbutrin. None, or very few sexual side-effects. Paxil and a few others are the pitts when it comes to sexual disfunction, for men and women alike.

If you are talking about another medication, why not say what it is so others can share their experiences with that drug? This is a help or how-to forum. You might help others while you gain knowledge.

Good Luck ;)

Did the Paxil thing. It pooped out on me, and withdrawal was EEEEEEE-VILE! I'm taking Wellbutrin XL now.

Other meds I'm on are: Dilantin; Clonazepam; Lexapro; Seroquel (the evil culprit); and Imitrex for migraines.

I’m 28 now, and I can remember when I was in high school, I had sex with a girl and had four orgasms within an hour without stopping. Then I started noticing within the last few years when my wife and I had sex I would usually have an orgasm anywhere between 5-10 minutes after we started, and then my penis would be out of commission for at least 45 minutes to an hour. Which caused a few arguments between my wife and I and caused me to feel like less of a man. Then I got put on Zoloft, which helped me last longer in bed(one of the many sideeffects) but it got very difficult to finish the transaction if you know what I’m saying. So my doctor prescribed Viagra. This helped a lot because it did lead to quicker orgasms and less chaffing. After the side effects of Zoloft wore off, I continued to take viagra because it also helped the premature thing. I would still cum within 10 minutes of starting to have sex but after about 20 seconds I was ready to go again.
I don’t take it and often I as I used since my wife and I have explored other ways of satisfying her other than just sex during foreplay.
And with the sideeffects of Viagra, I had some irritability the first few times I took it but now I really don’t notice anything, and that’s with taking the full 100mg since I found taking half doesn’t really work as well.

Irritability, as in 'male PMS?'
