Hello ladies and gentlemen (and any others who feel they don’t fall under those headings)…

This thread is primarily for the posting of artworks of various mediums and of subjects all relating to erotica, by any artist who would like to show his or her works.

We especially encourage “unknown” artists of illustration, paint, sculpture, photography, computer graphics, etching, glass works and any other medium to post scans or pictures of your work here for exposure and critiquing by the other members of Literotica.

Obviously we cannot offer or imply that posting your work here will do your art career any good, but at the same time what would it hurt?

For all of you who wish to chime in and critique the works posted here: Please do not indulge in starting tangents that don’t have much of anything to do with this thread, or perpetuate lengthy dialogs that should be started in a new thread elsewhere. Simple opinions of works are the best opinions.

If anyone knows of an artist whose work would be fitting for this thread, please, by all means, invite him or her in!

Here are some other art-related threads that floating about Literotica:

Most of my illustrations are done with a series of pencils that each have different densities of lead so as to lay down different darknesses of lines.

This particular illustration was done when I was playing around with techniques and not yet settled into any styles that I liked. This one was created from imagination and became one of my wife's favorites. One of my original intentions was to incorporate huge amounts of very ornate details into this illustration, but at the time of creating it I was not yet experienced enough to know how to do those details effectively.

Rhinoguy and I discussed getting this thread together. He'll be along.

Again, pencils. And again, experimentation from the imagination. I was playing with textures, primarily latex, PVC and leather. Latex really isn't present in this one because it's such a dull material in terms of giving off any kind of real shine or contrast from its surface like leather and PVC can. I left this up to the imagination as far as specifically what materials are being shown in the illustration, PVC or Leather?

Pencils and from the imagination. I had found myself getting into a rut with hair. I've seen too many artists take routes for showing hair that just seemed to lazy for my artwork. This one started as an exercise for illustrating the hair and grew into something more.

Some nice work. I particularly like the one of the girl biting on the guys cock. I really like the hair and the glove. You know, besides the content of the drawing.

Thank you. That's one of my wife's favorites also for the same reason, the details.

BlackSnake-- I loved the x-ray vision. There's an ease there. It must be recent.

And the spread one. Very affecting for such a simple image.

This one I described the making of at length in Rhinoguy's thread. But there I showed the finished image. This is the initial pen sketch. Just pen, no foolin' and no going back. You can do it six times to get a good image that way, because, like, you fuck up, dude. This one's fucked up, too, but it matters less to me when I fuck the guy up than when I mess the girl around. Ainsi soit-il.

Did this last year sometime, in the winter. A mad pencil scribble out of imagination. I love his bleating face.

Pencils and inspired by a picture from Penthouse. I found that I enjoy capturing women in poses that aren't so common. In Penthouse, Playboy, Hustler, even the women's magazines like Cosmo, Red Book and Vogue, if you look at enough of them you'll see a formula in the poses that get chosen for publication. Frankly, it gets boring. Fotunately, every once in a while, I'll stumble across something that's interesting and use it. After this one I started getting more and more minimalistic with backgrounds, like Petty, Vargas and Sorayama.

Yes, I love derrieres...

Older stuff (1984!)

At the time, I was in a PBM game. We sent turns by mail to Cohoes, New York, and they processed them and sent back a results sheet. In addition to which there was tons of mad correspondence with other players, to co-ordinate everyone's activities and to swap maps as we all explored the map. This was done on the back of a turn sheet. You can make out the form through the paper.

I had a mag called Anal Antics #1 (a classic!) open before me. Pencil and a lot of eraser. I nailed the fuckin shoe and I got her face perfectly. The GMs sent the turn sheets back, as well, but some of mine they kept. About five, all hardcore. I had been doing every one for a few months and they all knew my return address by that time. They said they put them on the walls in the office.

And this began as paint and colored pencil, but it's a photoshop artifact now.

I got started smoothing the pencil texture with the smudge tool. There was excess yellow, just as there was in impy's figure, because I have a limited palette of pencils and the image looks different on a screen than on paper. But I told myself Photoshop could fix it, by removing the foreground figure to a "layer" and adjusting the color, then pasting the figure over the top of its former self. More smudge to blend, because the edges looked weird. Nothing would correct her cheek blushes and the sun highlights, so I printed it and did more pencilling, then scanned the image and smudged again!

After a few hours in ten-times-big with the smudge tool and the "paintbrush" tool (because her hair looked wrong) I finally made myself stop futzing around and put it up already. This image doesn't exist on paper, but only as a computer image. If you step back from it it looks pretty good, but it's riddled with flaws and weirdness.
