dainty fingers encircle
brings a tearful smile
magnetic joy, of
a mother's love

inhaling aromas
like no other
new, unspoiled

milky, gummy grin
gurgled giggles
a tickle, a coo

as years go by
memories fade

that first touch
will never be, just
a passing thought

memories of
an encounter
bestowing a love, that
will last a lifetime

**
Dedicated to my daughters who I call 'boobahs'.

Sure to resonate with anyone who's had their own little boobahs.

Melancholy happiness?

A soft, yet striking poem. Very well done.

Reminds me a watercolor painting.

Lovely.
