Is an exposition,
and a series of instructions,
made poetry by a title?
This is pure "telling" with little fresh or strong imagery.
It does not "show" or evoke much of anything.
The effort would benefit from restructuring.
The poem is telling and passionate and evocative.
The comments that it is simply "telling" shows shallowness and an inability to read deep into the lines.
All art is, after all, telling. It tells of the heart and the soul of its creator, and this particular one tells a great deal.
Read it deeper.
your poem aptly named is about you bringing out what you have so long buried deep inside,. again i liked it and the theme of self discovery. and self acceptance.
