Reunion Prayer of Thanksgiving
(For Michele)

Loving God,
deliverer of unbelievable miracles.
Thank you for reunions of old loves
for healings and forgiveness...

We feel your hand in the laughter of pleasant memories
and know you in the poignant silences.

Thank You for making this rare together time happen,
so for a few brief hours we could look beyond any woundings
and walk down once familiar streets and laugh at almost-forgotten private jokes...

Thank you for the perspective that only time and age brings,
so that we can look into each other's eyes and say, "Thank You for all those good times we shared..."
