Homework is due,
and so is the rent.
Dishes piling up,
and all underwear spent.
Should take care of the bills,
and clean up this mess,
but my mind's far away
in my dreams, I confess.
Well dressed in armour
far away from my desk
fighting with ardor
carrying crossbow and spear.
Adventures and battles,
dwarves, trolls and elves,
while back in Real Life
dust collects on my shelves.
Who's got time for cleaning
when the kindom's at stake?
When does a wizard
have time to bake?
Might get kicked out in the street
if I don't pay my bills real soon.
But hey, my best-seller
will be out next June!
