in a sonic cobweb
morphing conceptual chatter
falls, swirls, bounces off my head
containing all that's too passed by
too passe cliché
goodbye I wave
to comprehension
farewell to focus
now when zeitgeist
sweet-talks the unweary
to just let go
step out
plunge
as if the multitude
of attitude and amplitude
will welcome us all
and somehow make sense
instead of just
tear us apart
in all directions
at once
which it will be
I cannot know
nor care
because know
while the others
scream in roller coaster
random revelations
that a silent rock
in the shade of an old tree
and a clear view
of blue horizon
awaits me
and know
that if you wish
there is room for
yet another
seeker
who breathes
quietly

Join me in the shade of that old tree ~ there will always be room for you.
....I'm playing "catch-up" but - OH - I'm glad I did! This is my choice for the week so far. The week is only half done, I know, but it will have to be a hummdinger to beat this one out.
Another time when five is not enough!
Liar is quickly becoming one of my favorite Lit. poets.
He has a way choosing and arranging words so that they sound just right,
their juxtaposition making a phrase far greater than the sum of the individual words,
and a joy to eye and ear.
Here he rejects the rush and anxiety of modern urban intellectual life
and grabs onto something solid.
Hold onto that rock of pastoral contemplation.
Save me a place, I am coming!
A solid 5.
