IT MEANS NOTHING

It was dark
The lights flashing
Blinding
Maiming
You took my hand
Meaning nothing
You didn’t know
Who I was
I thought it would be more
Your faithlessness let me see

We moved on
Past the rows of dead
Dancing
Captured
You wanted me
It meant nothing to you
Held me close
It’s strange
But I believed
In that second

CHORUS
It means nothing
Just like I mean nothing
That night can be erased
As easily as you and me
Raindrops running through my head
As blood pours from my eyes
I’ll cry the tears
That should have been yours

Alone in a crowd
Even with you
Disappearing
Reappearing
Stupid to think that a touch
Could reclaim you for me
When you were never mine
Except inside my mind
I don’t want this beautiful pain
To have so much mean so little

Parody of love
Together
Everything
Nothing
I didn’t let it in
To rot me more
To pierce my heart
We danced
You were crying
But I was the one dying

CHORUS

that fact that it means nothing is something ; )

"Parody of love"
