Electric shadow precedes my steps,
receding into the darkness before
thoughts, blue stretched in shrouded gold.
Butterflies are noisier.

Moon-time induces wasteland treks
seducing, flagrant silver to befog
senses, willing sacrifice to the goad.
Toads rarely sing.

Imagine a mirror...

...where the reflection changes. You handled this form wonderfully, and I enjoyed bouncing back and forth between the verses, from butterflies to toads!

And some simply wonderful images! Nicely done!
