I am definitely a beginning editor - I am considering starting a career as a professional proof-reader, and see this as an opportunity to get some practice! I'm best at catching typos, spelling and grammatical errors, inconsistencies in naming or plot, and misuse of idioms. I am most familiar with American idiom.
I have no preferred theme, but I will not work on the following types of story:
Erotic Horror
Intense BDSM, especially if it involves debasing the sub (mild is more than okay!)
Incest
Non-consent (reluctance is okay)
I reserve the right to stop editing if the content of the story makes me uncomfortable. |
