| Profile Statement:
I love to read. My love of reading lead to a BFA in Writing and a brief stint in Graduate School for my MFA in Creative Literature Writing. While I enjoy writing, I have found my true calling in editing. Mis-spelled words make me cringe. Incorrectly used commas and semi-colons make me want to throw up. Poor characterization, storylines with little to no plot developmen - these things shrivel my story-lovers soul.
My co-workers call me the Grammar Queen and bring all their work to me for proof-reading purposes. While this type of editing is okay, I much prefer to edit real stories. Fiction is my preference, though I do have some proficiency in editing poetry as well. I can edit for grammar and spelling only or structural editing for plots and characterization. I prefer to edit with all three of these in mind. I am especially drawn to stories in the categories of Anal, NonHuman, Sci-Fi & Fantasy and Incest/Taboo. I truly have no desire to edit any Lesbian Sex stories. I am not homo-phobic, my best friend is a lesbian. However, I have no knowledge or interest in this area and would prefer to keep it that way! |
