I frequently do proof reading at work and in other roles. I have become quite good at spotting when quiet is what was meant to be heard when someone passed by an open bedroom door in a hallway full of photos of the past, or when a lover should be peeking at taut, rosy-peaked nipples then looking quickly away rather than stepping in to capture one with a warm kiss.
Catching a missing word that can make sentence hiccup when read is another skill I’ve acquired. Did you just catch mine? Punctuation, grammar, tenses, run-on sentences, phrasing; all are common issues I can edit check for you.
