Homophones, over-use of adverbs, and sloppy punctuation are three of my pet peeves. In my Creative Writing courses, I was one of the few people who actually enjoyed dealing in the intricacies of grammar in our English language. I've considered submitting to Literotica as an author, but my stories tend to lack conflict. And what good is a protagonist who doesn't come up against a juicy challenge? So, I'm offering my skills as a grammar buff to people who have a tale to tell, but want a bit of help with the spit and polish to really make them shine. |
