| Profile Statement:
I am a college student with a bit of free time on weekends and some weekdays, and I enjoy editing the works of others--specifically those that are plot-driven rather than spontaneous. I believe in keeping the works submitted to me as original to the author's designs as possible, and, as such, the extent of the editing I am willing to perform is that relating to grammatical and spelling errors. That being said, I will not hesitate to point out glaring issues (plot- and characterization-wise) inside a work to its author, but I will NEVER alter any of these issues myself. Instead, I will email the author about these issues, mark the areas of their occurence in the work, and leave the actions regarding them to their creator. In regards to messages to me about editing, I check my email at least every other evening, if not each evening (EST).
Qualifications: I have a passion for both writing and reading, although I have never written a work outside of essays and school assignments. On the more professional end, if one could call it that, back in high school I managed to get fives on all my English AP tests and have been exempted from all college English courses to date. |
