I have been reading erotica for about 40 years. Many of the amateur authors that I have read have good stories, but they or the editors reading them sometime seem to get caught up in the more exciting parts of the narrative and leave you wondering what the author was trying to say. Other authors seem to have problems with spelling and/or homonyms. When I return a document to the author I point out what appear to be obvious mistakes and spelling errors and ask the author what s/he was trying to say in areas that I don't understand. I also ask the author about sections that don't seem to flow properly, that is where the action jumps about so that the reader may have difficulty following the action. |
