| Profile Statement:
I am an honest (some would say brutal) and thorough editor. I don't know if credentials are encouraged here, but my ACT verbal sections were perfect, and I was also one of two people in my school's history to get a 5 on my first try taking the AP Brit Lit exam, which requires a number of difficult and stringently-graded essays. You'll notice that this is my high school experience--I use that because it offers the most concrete example, but I have continued to build my skills throughout college. I may not be able to add single-digit numbers without counting on my fingers, but I have a talent and passion for language. Without being too boastful (perhaps I should reiterate that my shortcomings in math and science areas are far above average and beyond what most people expect), I would say that my feel for English grammar is impeccable. We all have talents; this is one of mine. You can expect any story edited by me to have as near perfect mechanics as is humanly possible.
I have been reading a great deal about the BDSM lifestyle lately and could hopefully provide a better review for a story of that nature, though I am not interested in BDSM in particular (nor am I personally involved in the lifestyle in any way). I also have a fair amount of knowledge about transsexuals, cross-dressers, and other gender benders. I am not interested in fantasy, sci-fi, or most historical stories at this time, nor will I ever be interested in poetry. I also have immense trouble with Real Audio and won't be able to help you with stories with an audio element. I would vastly prefer that anything I edit be properly be broken into paragraphs, double-spaced, and not be excessively long (time constraints due to full-time school, employment, and interpersonal relationships).
I am also a feminist, and I tend to have strong feelings about stories that contain women with this unmitigated desire for penetration. . . in case you've missed the memo, female orgasm typically comes from clitoral stimulation. If your story is all about how so-and-so yearns for penetration of some kind, don't expect me to not go on a page-long tirade about female sexual response and patriarchal attitudes. ^_^ |
