As I spend roughly half my time editing Shakespeare- trying to retain the power and beauty of the original, while making the plays more accessible to modern readers - I would prefer to help finetune the structure of already quality text than comment on basic grammar etc. I may be helpful in editing text that seeks to give its characters distinctive voices, that places the erotic elements in a stimulating world of philosophy, science, or music, and that contains speculative elements.
Basically a philosopher with a focus on grammar and linguistics, I have a wide experience in several countries crafting text so that it is accessible to its intended readership. Further, I have a strong postgraduate and research background in modern English. I may not be much help to anybody, but then again, I may. Perhaps worth a try. |
