| Profile Statement:
I am a writer first, but would look forward to editing a limited number of submissions. I am retired and have some spare time for this endeavor.
I have a BS and Masters; I have extensive writing experience. I was a newspaper reporter for several years. I also wrote editorials for a small newspaper for a little over five years.
Without getting into an extensive biography, virtually all of my, 'careers' involved writing. In each of those careers, I was seen as having talent as a writer.
My reason for volunteering to edit is partly selfish. I believe that editing other peoples' work will improve my own writing and editing skills.
I prefer romantic stories, even if the love is unrequited. Unlikely relationships, which begin sexually, but evolve to something more, are my favorites.
I will certainly proof your work, but am more interested in helping you take a good story theme and improving the vision and character development to make it a great story.
I believe that what a character thinks, often in fragments, or, 'off the top of the head', can be a lot more erotic than what a character says---or even does. |
