Hi, authors. I would love to edit your stories and do everything I can to make your writing better. I am a part-time paid copy editor, so I can handle the mechanics. If I am a good editor, however, I will also make suggestions on characterization, plot, word choice, and structure. Questions I will look for: Can I believe he or she would do this? Should this paragraph be over here? What can we think of together to make the story even better?
I've been editing a bit now and so can tell you how I usually work. You send me your story. I will send back a version with some editing for mechanics as well as inserted comments for you to deal with as you please. Some of these comments are paragraph long tips on the nature of writing to be implemented throughout your paper and some are just things like "HOT". The purpose is to give you something like the experience a reader has with your story. You are then welcome to send the revised story back to me, which I will then do a full edit on for mechanics. The comments part is what I really care about, so send stories to me for that. If you only want a spell-check, you should grab one of the other editors who say they love that stuff.
I am going to be best at romantic, playful, experimental, and passionate erotica. I write almost entirely lesbian erotica myself, but I am not limited to that, in fact most of my editing has been M-F. I won't be that great at most fetishes or anything other than mild BDSM. I'm sorry, but I will not read anything with a theme of Incest or Non-consent. To not end on such a negative note, I really do look forward to working with all of you and will be as helpful and supportive as I can. |
