| Profile Statement:
I am an English major, and I've been trained to edit/assist in revisions of texts. Editing is correcting grammar, punctuation, spelling, repetition, etc; Revision is a more in depth re-structuring. I will edit stories, and then make some suggestions for revision if it seems necessary/helpful, and then look at the story again if you like.
Fair warning: I've been known to make grown men cry with my cruel "red pen". I'm not mean and I try not to be hypercritical, but I am thorough and rather blunt.
One of the most common questions I get about my editing style is, "Why won't you just fix it?" There are several reasons, but the simplest of them all is this: if I just fixed it, you would never learn from your mistakes. Don't you want to be a better writer?
I am not comfortable working on stories in the Incest, Gay Male or Transsexuals & Crossdressers categories. I will not work on stories which include piss, scat, or snuff (I believe those are the technical lifestyle terms). Right now I would like to focus mainly on BDSM and NonConsent/Reluctance stories. |
