I fully believe in the saying, "Smart is sexy." Well, poor writing doesn't signify stupidity, nor does writing proficiency prove intelligence, BUT... When I'm reading a story, I'm looking to be turned-on, and when I find a story is poorly written (grammar, syntax, spelling, etc) my excitement fades pretty fast. I therefore figure it is my responsibility to try and save others like myself from that kind of disappointment! haha
I am a high school Language/Literature teacher, I was an English major in college, and I was Copy Editor at my college newspaper for two years. I use a lot of red ink at work, give my friends and family all kinds of grief when they write poorly in social media, and I am insufferable about the correct use of personal pronouns.
