The eclipse begins. She knows she will not see the end as her time will end. For almost 3000 years she ha enjoyed the oceans and all the creatures of the waters. Many men have heard her siren call when there was only a thin crescent moon in the western sky. The few who came to her were tender and loving at first. Then they all gradually became either lusty or lonely for their ships. The call of the water's surface were stronger than their desire for her. She could only exist within a few miles of the rocks, coral and shoals protecting the great islands not shown on any sailors maps.

As the eclipse reached midpoint the dark clouds of an approaching storm grew ominous and in the thunder it was calling her name. It was the voice of Poisdon saying, "Time to come back with your sisters Aarondxis. You are the last still in the sea. We are all waiting for you. The lightening flashing, she relaxed as she disappeared. Sometimes in western sky, when a thin crescent barely visible you may yet hear her siren song.
