Like a stabbing pain,
Fear sets within.
A silent killer,
Of the strongest will.

Fear so harsh,
Trembling in hurt.
The pain always,
Remembered.

Being stuck alone,
When darkness comes.
Sitting so silently,
As a tear slips.

The silent fear,
Not to be near.
The one you love,
And longing to touch.

~~

The fear that strikes when you're alone, questioning your worth as a lover, or just whether you're loved; and then your lover returns.

Quiet fear...

Fear treads quietly into the alone ~ loneliness becomes a presense ~ as one sits alone in quiet contemplation.
